NIMCET Result 2020 - The exam conducting National Institute of Technology is expected to announce NIMCET 2020 result in online mode in the first week of June, 2020. The same will be released in the form of rank cards, i.e containing the ranks obtained by candidates. The NIMCET exam is expected to be conducetd in the last week of May, 2020 in offline mode. Those, who qualify in NIMCET 2020 will be called for seat allocation procedure as per the counselling schedule. There will be three rounds of seat allotment and the fourth one will take place only if seats remain vacant. The conducting NIT will not intimate the candidates via any other medium- email or SMS. A total of 805 MCA seats will be filled on the basis of NIMCET 2020 result across participating NITs. How to check NIMCET 2020 Result?
Candidates need to follow the below mentioned simple steps to check their result of NIMCET 2020:
Visit the official website of NIMCET 2020 at nimcet.in.
Click on the link to NIMCET result 2020.
Log in by entering hall ticket number and password.
Candidates will get to know their qualifying status and rank obtained in NIMCET 2020. The exam conducting authority shall also release a rank list for NIMCET 2020 mentioning candidates’ roll number and rank.
Note- Candidates should download the rank card as no separate rank card will be sent.
NIMCET 2020 Qualifying Criteria
Candidates will be shortlisted for NIMCET 2020 seat allotment as per the prescribed minimum qualifying criteria. Candidates can check below details about qualification criteria of NIMCET 2020:
The marks obtained by candidates in each subject of NIMCET 2020 question paper will be multiplied as under to make maximum marks 1000 -
a) Mathematics by factor of 3
b) Analytical Ability and Logical reasoning by factor of 1.5
c) Computer Awareness by factor of 2
d) English by factor of 1
Those securing higher rank as per the maximum marks in NIMCET result 2020 will be ranked higher.
In case of tie in NIMCET result 2020 of two or more candidates, it will be resolved as under-
a) The one securing higher marks in Mathematics will be ranked higher.
b) If further tie exists, the one with high marks in logical reasoning will be ranked higher.
c) If still there is a tie, the candidate who has secured higher marks in computer awareness section will be ranked higher.
d) In case of further tie, then the candidate elder in age will be given preference.
Test-takers, who have obtained zero or negative marks in Mathematics section or overall, will be disqualified from admissions.
NIMCET exam pattern 2020 mentions that the entrance exam will be conducted for a total of 480 marks. As many as 120 objective type questions are to be asked from four sections. There will be negative marking of one mark in case of an incorrect response.
Counselling for NIMCET 2020 will be held on the stipulated date whose schedule is to be notified yet by conducting NIT. It may be noted that allotted candidates not reporting for the respective seat allotments will be forfeited and not considered for subsequent rounds of allotment.
There will be three rounds of seat allotment after NIMCET Result 2020 will be declared and if some seats still remain vacant, there will be a final round of allotment as well. The candidate will have to personally report after seat allotment rounds along with the original academic documents. Candidates allotted with seats in the first two rounds will have to login to the NIMCET-2020 website and then pay the Initial fee of Rs.10,000/- online. After this process, candidate will be provided with the Seat Allotment Letter. The candidate will be able to opt for upgradation in the second round (will be issued an upgradation letter) or accept the seat alloted (will be issued a provisional admission letter).
After allotment, candidates will have to present themselves at the allotted institutes for admission process on the dates notified by the Institute.
