Hi Swapnil,

Number of seats depends upon the colleges and the universities. Some of them are given below-

1.) National Institute of Technology ( NITs )-

  • Each NIT offering MCA may have around 30-60 seats in total, out of which a certain percentage (typically around 50-60%) is reserved for General category students.

2.) Universities -

  • State universities may have around 30-120 seats for MCA courses. The number of General category seats is determined after applying the reservation policies of the state.

3.) Private institutions-

  • Private colleges often have more flexibility in terms of seats, ranging from 60 to 180 seats or more, depending on the institution. In such cases, the General category seats could be a significant portion of the total intake.

Hope this information helped in solving your query. Thank you. We wish you all the best!

Hello there,

Certainly! Here's a more concise version of the text: If you've secured a seat through NIMCET at an IT college like VIT, you can pursue MCA post-graduation through correspondence. Here are the steps:

1. Complete your current degree.

2. Research and apply to reputable universities offering MCA through distance education.

3. Check eligibility criteria and prepare for any entrance exams.

4. Once accepted, enroll and start your MCA program.

Advantages of Correspondence MCA:

- Flexibility

- Location independence

- Opportunity to work while studying

Considerations:

- Accreditation and recognition

- Quality of education

- Career impact

In conclusion, pursuing MCA through correspondence after completing your undergraduate degree at an institution like VIT is possible. Ensure the program aligns with your academic and professional goals.

Hy,

To be eligible for the NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test), which is used for admission to the MCA programs at various National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in India, candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria. Here's how your educational background relates to NIMCET eligibility:

Eligibility Criteria for NIMCET

  1. Educational Qualifications:

    • Graduation Degree : Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree of at least 3 years duration from a recognized university. This degree can be in any discipline, but it should be from a recognized institution.
    • Mathematics Requirement : Mathematics must be one of the subjects in either:
      • 10+2 (Higher Secondary) : Candidates must have studied Mathematics in their 10+2 (Higher Secondary) school education.
      • Graduation Level : Candidates should have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at the graduation level.
  2. Specific Cases:

    • B.Sc. Computer Science (Hons.) without Mathematics in Graduation : If you have a B.Sc. in Computer Science (Hons.) but did not study Mathematics as a subject in your graduation, you will not meet the eligibility requirement, as Mathematics at the graduation level is mandatory.
    • B.Sc. Computer Science (Hons.) with Mathematics in Graduation : If you have studied Mathematics as a subject in your B.Sc. Computer Science, you will meet the eligibility requirement.
    • Mathematics in 10+2 Only : If you studied Mathematics in your 10+2 but did not study it in your graduation, you will meet the eligibility criteria. This is because the requirement of having Mathematics in either 10+2 or graduation is acceptable.

Summary

  • Eligible : If you have studied Mathematics in either 10+2 or in your graduation.
  • Not Eligible : If you have not studied Mathematics at either level, or if your graduation degree does not include Mathematics as a subject and you do not meet the other criteria.

With a NIMCET rank of 5000 under the SC category, you have a good chance of securing admission in MCA programs at NITs or other reputed colleges participating in NIMCET. The availability of seats depends on the specific institution's cutoffs for your category. Focus on NITs with higher intake or consider newer ones where cutoffs might be relatively lower. Keep an eye on counseling updates and seat allotment trends for a clearer picture.

Yes there is a chance. IPU generally gives preference to NIMCET exam aspirants but NIMCET is mainly for NITS. That means that most of the students might haven't registered for admission under IPU. In that case assume we have 50% of seats left.

Now coming to IPU MCA CET exam, they gave rank to around 1250 aspirants. You are under first 50% of the rank holders. And Delhi students too have 75% reserved seats. That means that you might get to choose between 2 colleges for admission. Do note that these colleges will be the last choice of many students as all the other colleges will be preferable against them. It's applicable to candidates of UP domicile only. And it's the first time they're doing it. I really don't know how many UP candidates had appeared for NIMCET out of which how many are non-qualified & are gistering for HBTU. But I think you have decent chances because under 800 people will go for NITs and from 800 to 874 there won't be much candidates belonging to UP, may be even 0. Because the rush in NIMCET comes from MP mostly (u know JMA). You have a high probability of being accepted at HBTU. My estimations are closer enough.

Hello,

Preparing for both NIMCET and NEET simultaneously can be challenging due to the significant differences in syllabus and exam formats. NIMCET focuses on mathematics and computer science concepts, while NEET is centered around biology, chemistry, and physics. While it's technically possible to prepare for both exams simultaneously, it may require a significant amount of time, dedication, and effective time management.

Hope this helps,

Thank you

For the NIMCET exam, subjects relevant to Mathematics will be considered as Math,  regardless of the specific name used in your BCA curriculum. The NIMCET exam assesses your aptitude for quantitative reasoning and problem-solving skills typically associated with mathematics. Even if the subject in your BCA program has a different name, the content likely covers areas like calculus, algebra, trigonometry, statistics, or probability, which fall under the umbrella of mathematics for NIMCET.
