NIMCET Eligibility Criteria 2018 - The exam conducting institute, NIT Surathkal, has announced the NIMCET 2018 eligibility criteria now. NIMCET eligibility criteria 2018 mention academic qualification along with other requirements that are to be fulfilled by the candidates seeking MCA admissions across 11 NITs. A total of 805 seats will be offered across the 11 participating NITs. NIMCET 2018 will be held on May 27 in offline mode. NIMCET application form 2018 is available from March 1 to 31. Candidates should check the NIMCET 2018 eligibility criteria before submitting the form as if at any stage of admission he/she is found ineligible, then his/her admission will be cancelled right away.

NIMCET Eligibility Criteria 2018

  • Candidates must be Indian nationals.

  • They should be graduation degree holders (BCA/B.Sc (Hons.)/B.Sc/BIT) as per 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised university.

  • Candidates must have studied Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent subject during graduation.

  • Candidates belonging to General category are required to score a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA score in aggregate of all subjects. SC/ST category candidates need to obtain at least 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA score on a 10 point scale in aggregate.

  • Those, who hold Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)/B.Tech. degree or equivalent degree, are also eligible for NIMCET 2018.

Important Instructions

  • Candidates appearing for the qualifying degree exam are also eligible to apply for NIMCET 2018. However, they must provide the proof of qualifying examination at the time of admission.

  • Conversion of scores from CGPA to percentage or percentage to CGPA is not allowed.

  • CGPA scores other than 10 point scale will be converted to 10 point scale as per unitary method.

National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test or NIMCET 2018 will be held on May 27. The 11 participating institutes of NIMCET 2018 are located in Allahabad, Calicut, Agartala, Bhopal, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Raipur, Tiruchirappalli, Kurukshetra, Surathkal and Warangal.
