National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test
Well Priyabrat the rank which you have 2289 in NIMCET is obviously not enough for getting admission in nit. As maximum rank it goes upto is 700.
But there are other different colleges in which you can try like vit , bit, Anna, D Y Patil , maybe also IPU as they started accepting NIMCET scores from this year and HBTU Kanpur and many others deemed University.
Thank you.
Hello Parth
Sorry to say but your rank is way too high to get you into any NIT's or any government colleges. For general category your rank must be below 600-700(as per last year trends) to get an NIT through NIMCET.
So, you can try out any private college if you want.
Hello Ashish
You havent’t mentioned your category. If you are General and OBC then its impossible to seek any seat and if you are SC and ST then ofcourse you will get.
You can go with private colleges, there are some colleges that accepts NIMCET rank for admission.
Hello shivnath sahu,
On seeing the previous year seat cut off of NIMCET there is very less possibllity of getting a secured seat. Though sometimes open category seats may go vaccant in last round so if you have patience then you may wait till last round.
All the best:)
Hello,
The answer to your question lies in your priority, in addition to your interest and skills.
If job is mandatory, go ahead with PG but do remember it's important that you pursue studies in a college that imparts quality education, since your aim for doing MCA is to hone your skills academically as well as professionally, for better job prospects. Also, as you said, you have non maths background, so look at the areas where you didn't fare well in exams, and work on those diligently if you aim to pursue MCA. If job is not mandatory, just pursue MCA. Anyway, managing both will anyway be an arduous task.
If none of this interests you, then don't go for it, just evaluate your skills, areas you're good at, your interest and pursue it accordingly.
Thank you!
Hello Sateesh,
NIMCET is an examination which provides both a common rank list or CRL and category rank lists for categories like OBC,SC,ST,Pwd,etc. The rank list and counselling for admission into colleges provided would generally be based on your CRL or all india ranks but OBC, SC,ST certificates are to be considered separately in counselling. For example you may have rank of 15000 in CRL but 1500 in OBC. According to previous year cutoff, OBC closing ranks were over by 1300 (this is to give you some estimate). Hope this answer helps you. All the best!
