National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test
Hello Priyanshu!
Firslty getting too many degrees really don't help much. You are doing B.Tech in civil engineering. Shifting from civil background to MCA all of a sudden without having prior experience in computer science, is not wise choice. You can do however, there is no issue with that. And pursuing again MTech after MCA is not required at all. You will be just spending too much time in getting degrees.
When it comes to real world, what companies ask for is skills and experience the most. So instead of getting multiple degrees, join a separate course in Computer Science from a authorized coaching centre with certification. Practice coding, front end development etc. That would save your time as well as enhances your skills.
All the best!

Hi,
First of all, if someone takes drop for preparation for any of the competitive exams, then it is not considered to be bad. It all depends on the thinking of people. Some consider it to be worse or a waste of time, while others consider it to be good. From my point of view, I would tell you that for clearing NIMCET, one may take drop for a year so as to get a good nit next time. All you need to do is to put more efforts and ignore what others say.
Since you didn't mentioned the category so considering general category.
You can get the following colleges under this rank for MCA under IPU according to the previous year cutoffs-
Hope it helps!
NIMCET is conducted in offline (pen & paper-based) mode. The exam pattern and syllabus will remain the same as previous years
Duration of the NIMCET exam is 2 hours during which the candidates need to answer 120 multiple choice questions
you can give any number of attempts for NIMCET exam but it is not suggested for anyone to attempt for more than two times as it causes difficulty during placements in some companies
hope that helps
all the best
