To apply for NIMCET a candidate must have passed three year B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT / B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications)/ BBA (Computer Applications) with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or four year B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University. The candidate belonging to general/OBC/EWS category must score minimum 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale in Bachelor's Degree (Qualifying Examination). The candidate belonging to SC/ST/PWD category must score minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD.
You can apply for NIMCET 2022 but you must clear the backlog and obtain the passing certificate on or before the cut off date specified to get admission. You must score the required percentage of marks in the qualifying examination. If you do not clear the backlog and do not obtain the degree on or before the cut off date you will be ineligible to apply for admission.

The basic educational qualification required for the examination of NIMCET is provided below:
i) The student need to pass B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum three years full-time from a recognized university or college. or the student may do the course of BTech.
ii) For a general Unreserved category & OBC student its required that the student must have atleast 60% or 6.5 CGPA out of 10 point scale in graduation and for other categories such as ST & SC the student must have 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA out of 10 point scale.

Technology e of Master in computer application common entrance test is taken in every year once in a year. Nimcet is of total 480 marks. For this year 2022 to the notification for application published in the month of February 2022 and the exam will be held in the in the month of March 2022. Exam is taken throughout India enable more than 25000 students are taken part in this exam for taking admission in MCA course in 31 NITs in all over India. There are 851 number of seats in total for MCA course. MCA course is of 2 or 3 years, 3 years is for NITs nimcet exam is of 2 hours and 30,minutes duration . There are 120 number of multiple choice questions. 4 marks for each correct answer a wrong answer will carry negative marking . Eligibility for appearing of this examination is BSC mathematics, B tech or BE in computer engineering.
