Hey Kranthi, the spot rou d for different colleges starts at different times. Generally for NIT calicut the spot round will begin from mid August . I would recommend you to hire a counsillor for yourself as counsillors can guide you through all the procedures and that way you wont miss your chance of making it in NIT.

The National Institute Of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal has released the NIMCET 2019 Result on June 08, 2019. You can check your results on nimcet.in website after logging in.
There have been some changes from the last yeat seat matrix. Overall seats have been increased by 22 from 805 last year. Total seats is 827.

After the NIMCET 2020 choice filling is over, NIT releases the seat allotment result in the candidate’s login portal. The allocation of seats is done on the basis of NIMCET rank and choices submitted by the candidates. So fill it carefully.
Once choice filling date is over, the body releases the seats alloted in 1st 2nd and 3rd round.
After the allotment of seats, the next step in NIMCET 2020 counselling is issuance of allotment letter. allotment letter. To download the allotment letter, candidates need to enter the login Id and password. Allotment letter carries the allotted center, and the date, time for the verification process. Candidates have to reach at the center along with allotment letter for verification and admission process.

Coming to your question I would like to tell you that you had chances to get into these institutes s your OBC rank is in the range of the previous year rank cutoff for the nit Calicut and the nit Allahabad ,the 576 and the 641 was the previous year cutoff , and hope this year the trends follows the same , just be relaxed you will definately get one out of the two .

You should have passed your BSc with a minimum of 60% in order to be qualified for NIMCET examination, since you are in first year I think there would be a problem getting a college.
The final exams wont be much of a problem.
