Well, comparing from the previous year analysis, it feels you can get admission at NIT allahabad and in NIT Calicut owing ot your category.
Though if the situation arises to prefer which college then I would say to use rul of thumb ie
if south indian - NIT Calicut
if North Indian - NIT Allahabad
Though both are excellent colleges.

You convert your OGPA/CGPA marks in percentage. substract .5 marks from OGPA/CGPA then multiply with 10 this is the standard formula to convert marks in percentage. then you will get to know you are eligible or nor for this exam.

Yes, you are eligible for NIMCET exam after diploma plus BCA because the eligibility critarea of NIMCET is having a graduate degree with minimum 60% marks in graduation. There is no problem if you have a diploma because there is no need of diploma in NIMCET.
You can apply for NIMCET with your BCA degree or any graduation degree in any discipline.

To be eligible to apply for NIMCET a candidate must have passed B.Sc . / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum three years full-time from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects or B.E./ B.Tech from a recognized University. Candidates belonging to general and OBC category need to score minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category need to score minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale.
