Hi there,

For NIMCET , the eligibility criteria are

  • Minimum 60% marks in BCA, B.SC(Hons), or in B.E , B.Tech
  • Candidates have to study maths or statistics as one of the subject in the UG course.

So if you have studied maths up to 5th sem, it is considered as the eligibility from my study of the exam.

Exam will be for 2 hours with 120 questions.

Hope this will help you.

Thank you

our bca college dont have maths in 3rd semester only. Rest all sem have maths. So I can appear for nimcet exam. if not what are other alternatives?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 16th Jan, 2020

The eligibility criteria states that you should have completed your Bachelor's degree with either Mathematics or Statistics as one of your subjects. Now it is understood that you cannot have a subject for the entire duration of the course and so even if do not have Mathematics as your subject only in the 3rd semester, you are eligiblle for NIMCET. Pritha Kalra 11th Jan, 2020

For applying for NIMCET , you should be in your final year and minimum 60 % or 6.5 cgpa is required . So as you said you have 60% marks then you are eligible to apply for the same . Your 12th standards marks doesn't count  in the eligibility.

All the best. Thank you .
