NIMCET is an exam conducted for admission in MCA. Students have to clear the NIMCET exam with good rank , based on their rank they will be allotted seats at various campus of NITs.
Eligibility is as follows :
candidates must have secured atleast 60 % marks or 6.5 cgpa in BSc / BSc (hons) /BCA/ BIT of minimum 3 years full time with mathematics / statistics or equivalent subject as one of subject from recognized universities.

The eligibility criteria for NIMCET is that candidate shold have done BSc / BSc (Hons) / BCA / BIT or other equivalent course of minimum three years full-time with Mathematics/Statistics/Equivalent subject as one of the subject from a recognized University.

So if you have studied maths up to 5th sem, it is considered as the eligibility from my study of the exam.
Exam will be for 2 hours with 120 questions.

The eligibility criteria states that you should have completed your Bachelor's degree with either Mathematics or Statistics as one of your subjects. Now it is understood that you cannot have a subject for the entire duration of the course and so even if do not have Mathematics as your subject only in the 3rd semester, you are eligiblle for NIMCET. you don't Pass or fail in NIMCET exam, in this exam you secure a rank on the basis of marks scored by you and according to that rank choices of colleges are given to you.

For applying for NIMCET , you should be in your final year and minimum 60 % or 6.5 cgpa is required . So as you said you have 60% marks then you are eligible to apply for the same . Your 12th standards marks doesn't count in the eligibility.

NIMCET 2020 conducting National Institute of Technology is expected to release the NIMCET important dates through a notification in February 2020. The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is the entrance examination for admission to MCA course. The NIMCET 2020 exam is expected to be conducted in the last week of May, 2020 in offline mode. As per previous trends of important dates of NIMCET, the registrations will tentatively take place throughout March, 2020. One of the 10 NITs will be conducting the exam for admission in around 800 seats to MCA.
