Pune University MCA 2019: Admissions to MCA course at Department of Computer Science, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune from academic year 2019-2020 will now be done through the DTE Admission process only. Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Computer Science Department (CSD) will not conduct the entrance test for Pune University Master in Computer Applications (MCA). The MAH-MCA-CET exam for Pune University MCA 2019 was conducted on March 23 and the result of the same was declared on April 15, 2019. Candidates were tested on their knowledge of computer concepts and general aptitude. The online MCA application form of MAH-MCA-CET 2019 was available from January 15 to February 22. The application fee was to be paid either online or offline. Candidates were able to download the MAH-MCA-CET 2019 admit card from the official website from March 8, 2019. Candidates had to carry this admit card of MAH-MCA-CET 2019 for verification on the exam day. The MAH-MCA-CET 2019 exam result was declared by the conducting body on April 15, 2019. The MCA application form of Pune University 2019 will be released tentatively by the second week of May in online mode. For PG admission in any course offered by the Pune University, students will have to visit the portal dedicated to centralised PG admissions in the official website of SPPU. Important details like name, personal mobile number and a valid email ID will be required for registration. Once the registration is done, candidates will receive their credentials via SMS and email. Thereafter, more information regarding address, category, academics, etc. will be required along with some mandatory soft copies of a recently clicked, passport size photograph and signature.
Application fee: Payment of application fee is the final step of filling the Pune University MCA application form 2019. Candidates can pay the application fee via direct cash deposit (at any branch of Bank of Maharashtra/ HDFC bank) by downloading a cash challan or through online mode by using a debit card/ credit card. The amount of PU CSD application fee varies for different categories of students as tabulated below:

Many students choose to take a partial drop if they feel the college or branch they got isn't right for them. However, there are a few important things to keep in mind you’ll need to cancel your current admission officially through your college and possibly notify the university.
To get TFWS again, you must meet the income criteria and perform well in the next MHT CET, as TFWS seats are limited and competitive. Also, remember that you’ll have to start from 1st year again in the new college even if you complete the first year now.

With 58.89 percentile in MHT CET and 42 percentile in JEE Mains, it will be very difficult to get admission into top engineering colleges in Pune or Mumbai for Computer Science, AI, or IT branches, even if you are from OBC-NCL and under Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Most good colleges like PCCOE, MMCOE, and Sinhgad College close admission for CSE and IT around 85 to 95 percentile. Your percentile is too low for these competitive branches in top colleges.
However, you might still get admission in other branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical in some engineering colleges in Pune or Mumbai where the cutoff is a bit lower. Some lesser-known or Tier-2 colleges may also give admission in IT or CSE with your percentile.
With 42 percentile in JEE Mains, your rank is around 2.5 to 4.5 lakh, so getting NITs or IIITs is not possible. But private colleges in Maharashtra may consider your JEE score under their quota.
Since you belong to the OBC-NCL category and are from Pune University region, you may get some advantage during state counseling.
