WB JECA 2020: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is the conducting body for West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam for Computer Applications (WBJECA) 2020. The state-level entrance exam of WBJECA 2020 for admission to MCA programme is expected to be conducted in the second week of July. Application forms for WBJECA are expected to be available between the first and third week of April 2020 in online mode. The WB JECA 2020 eligibility criteria require the candidates to be Indian citizens but there is no age bar. The eligibility criteria of WB JECA 2020 is the minimum educational/ age, etc. requirement in a candidate to be suitable for applying. As per WB JECA eligibility criteria 2020, aspirants must be Indian nationals. There is no age bar and no specified maximum number of attempts for WB JECA.
The institutes which offer MCA programme to WB JECA 2020 qualified candidates follow any of the four modules of eligibility mentioned below:
Bachelor’s degree program from UGC recognised University with at least 60% overall (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD candidates) along with 60% in Mathematics at the Bachelor’s level together with at least 60% marks in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
UGC and/ or AICTE recognized (as the case may be) Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3-years duration except for BBA with Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduate level.
Obtained 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B candidates) at graduation level.
Graduate or equivalent degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline of a UGC recognized University/Institute or AICTE recognized B.E./B.Tech/BCA of a University/Institute.
Must have Mathematics as one of the subjects at each level of education.
Must have secured 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B candidates) at each level education.
Must have passed B. Sc. Hons. from UGC recognised university with at least 60% in Honours (55% for SC/ ST candidates) in Bachelor level having Mathematics as one of the subjects with at least 60% marks in 10th level and 10+2 level with at least 60% in Mathematics in both 10th and 10+2 level from recognised Board.
Prerequisite Documents for WB JECA 2020
Candidates must keep soft copies of the documents mentioned below before filling the application form of WB JECA 2020. The file specifications of the documents are as follows:

Candidates will be able to fill the online application form of WB JECA 2020 tentatively between first and third week of April. As registration is the first step of filling the WB JECA 2020 application form, candidates must have a personal and valid phone number and e-mail ID. WBJEEB is not responsible for non-receipt of any communication by the candidates if the mobile number and/ or the email ID are wrong/ non-existing/ changed. Candidates must enter all the personal, academic, contact, etc. details carefully as any sort of editing is forbidden after the WB JECA application form 2020 is submitted. Once the application procedure (including fee payment) is complete, candidates can view their ‘Confirmation Page’ and print it out for future reference.

Candidates can make the payment in online mode only via net banking/ debit card/ credit card.
The amount of fee is non-refundable.
The amount of application fee is Rs. 500 (+ bank charges) for all categories except PwD candidates who are entitled to 40% reduction in application fees.
Candidates will be able to view and download their admit card of WB JECA 2020 from official website as might release . It must be noted that WB JECA admit card will be available in online mode only and will not be sent via post. The WB JECA 2020 admit card must not be mutilated/ distorted/ soiled (even by accident) as candidates bearing such admit cards are not allowed entry into the exam hall. Candidates will be able to apply for duplicate admit card of WB JECA 2020 prior to the exam date for free. Doing so after the exam imposes an amount of Rs. 500 which must be paid by bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable in Kolkata. Since the WB JECA 2020 admit card/ hall ticket acts like identity proof, candidates must preserve it till the last date of WB JECA counselling 2020.

WBJEEB publishes the WB JECA 2020 result in the form of rank cards which will be released online only, tentatively in the second week of August. Candidates can log-in to view and download their WB JECA rank cards. It may be noted that after the completion of e-counselling and admission, duplicate rank cards cannot be generated. However, if a candidate wishes to do so, he/ she must apply to the Board before the stipulated time limit. Such candidates will also have to pay Rs. 500/- by a bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable in Kolkata. Candidates who are not allotted any ranks will not be eligible for WB JECA 2020 counselling.
WBJEEB is expected to conduct the WB JECA Counselling in the last week of August 2020. Only eligible candidates (those who are allotted rank cards) will be able to attend the counselling of WB JECA 2020. Candidates must reach the WB JECA 2020 counselling venue on the stipulated date and time, as per their ranks. The candidate must report in person; no other person is allowed to appear for WB JECA counselling and admission on behalf of the candidate. Candidates should also bring along the required documents. Not following any of the aforementioned regulations will cancel the candidate’s seat. The authorities will provide the registration link for WB JECA 2020 counselling on the website itself.
No. There is no provision for applying offline. Any hard copies of the WB JECA application form will be rejected.
Do not attempt to make any duplicate application. However, in case of any unfortunate mistake, candidates may visit the Board’s office with original documents for correction within the last date of online WB JECA 2020 application.
Keep copies of the ‘confirmation page’ and admit card in safe custody. It is not possible to generate any duplicate copy after the stipulated counselling/ admission date.
If any candidate receives any SMS/ e-mail regarding any discrepancy in the photograph/ signature uploaded by him/ her, he/ she must take corrective action immediately within one day.
Candidates are advised to enter the examination centre at least 30 minutes beforethe test begins.
A hard copy of admit card of WB JECA 2020, a copy of coloured photograph uploaded during online application and any photo identity card in original such as Aadhar card/ pan card/ passport/ voter card/ 10th standard admit card/ school/ college ID card.
Candidates are not allowed to carry any written or printed material, calculator,docu-pen, log table, any communication device like mobile phones etc. inside the WB JECA 2020 exam hall. Any candidate found with such items will have his/ her candidature summarily cancelled.
