WB JECA 2019: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will hold the WB JECA 2019 offline exam on July 13 for admission to MCA programme. WB JECA 2019 will be conducted in English medium only. The questions will be of MCQ type. The application and payment process of WB JECA is completely online. Candidates must be careful while providing their personal, educational and contact details as there is no scope for rectification after the closing date of WB JECA application form 2019 i.e. on April 16. The WB JECA 2019 eligibility criteria require the candidates to be Indian citizens but there is no age bar. Candidates will be able to choose from 12 cities in West Bengal which will be conducting the state-level entrance exam. The WB JECA 2019 admit card will be released online on July 4. Candidates must carry their hall ticket/ admit card, passport-sized photograph and photo identity proof to the WB JECA exam centres 2019. WB JECA result is expected to be declared on August 13, 2019. WB JECA Eligibility Criteria 2019

The eligibility criteria of WB JECA 2019 is the minimum educational/ age, etc. requirement in a candidate to be suitable for applying. As per WB JECA eligibility criteria 2019, aspirants must be Indian nationals. There is no age bar and no specified maximum number of attempts for WB JECA.

Module 1

Bachelor’s degree program from UGC recognised University with at least 60% overall (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD candidates) along with 60% in Mathematics at the Bachelor’s level together with at least 60% marks in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.

Module 2

  • UGC and/ or AICTE recognized (as the case may be) Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3-years duration except for BBA with Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduate level. 

  • Obtained 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B candidates) at graduation level. 

Module 3

  • Graduate or equivalent degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline of a UGC recognized University/Institute or AICTE recognized B.E./B.Tech/BCA of a University/Institute.

  • Must have Mathematics as one of the subjects at each level of education. 

  • Must have secured 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B candidates) at each level education. 

Module 4

Must have passed B. Sc. Hons. from UGC recognised university with at least 60% in Honours (55% for SC/ ST candidates) in Bachelor level having Mathematics as one of the subjects with at least 60% marks in 10th level and 10+2 level with at least 60% in Mathematics in both 10th and 10+2 level from recognised Board.

WB JECA Application Form 2019

Candidates could fill the online application form of WB JECA from April 2-16, 2019. As registration is the first step of filling the WB JECA 2019 application form, candidates must have a personal and valid phone number and e-mail ID. WBJEEB will not be responsible for non-receipt of any communication by the candidates if the mobile number and/ or the email ID are wrong/ non-existing/ changed. Candidates must enter all the personal, academic, contact, etc. details carefully as any sort of editing will be forbidden after the WB JECA application form 2019 is submitted. Once the application procedure (including fee payment) is complete, candidates can view their ‘Confirmation Page’ and print it out for future reference. 

Application Fee of WB JECA 2019

  • Candidates can make the payment in online mode only via net banking/ debit card/ credit card.

  • The amount of fee is non-refundable.

  • The amount of application fee is Rs. 500 (+ bank charges) for all categories except PwD candidates who are entitled to 40% reduction in application fees. 

WB JECA Admit card 2019

Candidates will be able to view and download their admit card of WB JECA 2019 on July 4. It must be noted that WB JECA admit card will be available online only and will not be sent via post. The WB JECA 2019 admit card must not be mutilated/ distorted/ soiled (even by accident) as candidates bearing such will not be allowed entry into the exam hall. Candidates can apply for duplicate admit card of WB JECA 2019 prior to the exam date for free. Doing so after the exam will bear an amount of Rs. 500 which must be paid by bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable in Kolkata. Since the WB JECA 2019 admit card/ hall ticket acts like identity proof, candidates must preserve it till the last date of WB JECA counselling 2019.

WB JECA Result 2019

WBJEEB will publish the WB JECA 2019 result in the form of rank cards which will be available online only. According to the tentative dates announced by WBJEEB, the result of WB JECA will be declared on August 13, 2019. Candidates can log-in to view and download their WB JECA rank cards. After completion of e-counselling and admission, duplicate rank cards cannot be generated. However, if a candidate wishes to do so, he/ she must apply to the Board before the stipulated time limit. Such candidates will also have to pay Rs. 500/- by a bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable in Kolkata. Candidates who are not allotted any ranks will not be eligible for WB JECA 2019 counselling.

WB JECA Counselling 2019

The date for WB JECA 2019 counselling will be announced by the Board shortly after the declaration of results. Only eligible candidates (those who were allotted rank cards) can attend the counselling of WB JECA 2019. Candidates must reach the WB JECA 2019 counselling venue on the stipulated date and time, as per their ranks. The candidate must report in person; no other person is allowed to appear for WB JECA counselling and admission on behalf of the candidate. Candidates should also bring along the required documents. Not following any of the aforementioned regulations will cancel the candidate’s seat.

WB JECA 2019 FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Question. Can I fill and submit the WB JECA application form in offline mode?

Answer. No. There is no provision for applying offline. Any hard copies of the WB JECA application form will be rejected. 

Question. I made a mistake in my application shall I fill a fresh one?

Answer. Do not attempt to make any duplicate application. However, in case of any unfortunate mistake, candidates may visit the Board’s office with original documents for correction within the last date of online WB JECA 2019 application.

Question. Can I download the application, admit card later on when I need it?

Answer. Keep copies of the ‘confirmation page’ and admit card in safe custody. It is not possible to generate any duplicate copy after the stipulated counselling/ admission date.

Question. How will I know whether there is a discrepancy in my photo or signature and how to rectify it?

Answer. If any candidate receives any SMS/ e-mail regarding any discrepancy in the photograph/ signature uploaded by him/ her, he/ she must take corrective action immediately within one day.

Question. What is the reporting time for WB JECA 2019 exam?

Answer. Candidates are advised to enter the examination centre 30 minutes before
the test begins.

Question. What documents should I carry to the WB JECA 2019 exam centre?

Answer. A hard copy of admit card of WB JECA 2019, a copy of coloured photograph uploaded during online application and any photo identity card in original such as Aadhar card/ pan card/ passport/ voter card/ 10th standard admit card/ school/ college ID card.

Question. Can we take calculators to the exam hall?

Answer. Candidates are not allowed to carry any written or printed material, calculator,
docu-pen, log table, any communication device like mobile phones etc. inside the WB JECA 2019 exam hall. Any candidate found with such items will have his/ her candidature summarily cancelled.
