hello I have 60.67% and 6.06cgpa in my bca I m in obc category... can I elgibil for nimcet..? bcz my percent 60% but cgpa 6.06 please clear my doubt please reply according to my marksheet they convert percentage With this formula % = Cgpa×10 I am so confused with this please sir help me

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 18th May, 2021

Hi

I am extremely sorry to tell you dear but with 6.06 CGPA you are not eligible for nimcet examination .

This is because,
To be eligible for nimcet one needs at least 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale or at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks or
6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD)

Also,
Your CGPA will not be converted into percentage as to avoid the very same confusion of conversion, the eligibility criteria clearly mentions that it should be 6.5 CGPA and in case if your result is in terms of percentage then it should be at least 60%

Moreover,
The page number 7 of nimcet information brochure clearly mentions that " conversion of scored marks from CGPA to percentage and vice-versa is
not permitted ".

You can check the same by own your own the link to download the nimcet official information brochure is provided below

https://www.nimcet.in/documents/IB%20and%20Notices.pdf

Thank you

hello i have 60.67% and 6.06cgpa in my bca... can i eligible for nimcet i m in obc category... please reply me

aditya 18th May, 2021

Hello  jay gls

I hope you are doing good

I would glad to clarify your query. For getting eligible for nimcet you need to have 60percent or 6.5 cgpa in your graduation with mathematics with one of your subject. Actually they convert your cgpa by multiplying cgpa*9.5 into percentage. So if in your marksheets has written 60percent then only your eligible otherwise for 6.06 cgpa you are not elgibile

10th - 69% 12th - 63% graduation - 98 % work experience - 0 nimcet - 1032 (AIR) CAN I GET TOP MCA COLLEGES

aditya 11th May, 2021

Hello Aspirant

I hope you are doing good . With reference to your query , I would like to inform you that for admission is mca college is purely based on nimcet rank and you just need 60percent  to appear in nimcet. At your rank in general and obc category ,  chances are very low to get any nits because in 2020 seats in nit was fulled at 600-650 only . At this rank you can get University school of information studies if you have delhi state quota otherwise start preparing for next attempt

Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future

What should i do after BCA? I have 3 years of Gap after 12th. Currently i am in 3rd year of BCA, and like to do programming. Should i prepare for government exams or prepare for NIMCET exam for pursuing MCA in NITs? My 3 years of gap after 12th will give me any trouble when i will give interview?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 30th Apr, 2021

hi,

see I understand that you are really worried about future. see you have gap between academic so you will faced questions to justify what you have done in this years. so make a answer and be prepared for that. now see if you have good programming concept you may try for companies as software analyst, programmer analyst, web developer position. there is many work opportunity, freelance platforms available. however MCA course has also wide options and placements are good at nits. so if you want to go for higher education then prepare for nimcet exam. I will not suggest for government job cause for bca level there is less of relevant government jobs. you may apply for ssc cgl or banking but it would take a long time and due to pandemic there is less of recruitment going on. so it would be best to enhance your skill and try to find job as per your skills.

hope you understand.
