National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test
Hello Aspirant,
NIMCET is a national level entrance test which is conducted every year. This exam is held for admission into MCA programs for total 805 seats across 11 NITs in India.
Candidates are required to score good rank in NIMCET to get admission in NITs for master’s program. Candidate scoring at least 500 or more gets a seat in general category.
Preparing well is the key of success. To prepare for this examination you should prepare notes on regular basis from different books. The most important thing is to solve as many paper as possible and to study all the topics for the entrance examination. Solving previous years papers will help you to manage time and to understand the level of difficulty of the examination.
But,candidates should start solving paper only after covering the whole syllabus. Otherwise, solving paper will not help and confidence level will go down. So, it is extremely important to cover the whole syllabus first.
And at last revision is must. Revising the same topic again and again will help candidates to remember the topics and little details about any topic. Even the very simple topics should also be revised if possible and that's how one can prepare for NIMCET.

I am extremely sorry to tell you dear but with 6.06 CGPA you are not eligible for nimcet examination .
This is because, To be eligible for nimcet one needs at least 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale or at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD)
Also, Your CGPA will not be converted into percentage as to avoid the very same confusion of conversion, the eligibility criteria clearly mentions that it should be 6.5 CGPA and in case if your result is in terms of percentage then it should be at least 60%
Moreover, The page number 7 of nimcet information brochure clearly mentions that " conversion of scored marks from CGPA to percentage and vice-versa is not permitted ".
You can check the same by own your own the link to download the nimcet official information brochure is provided below

Hello jay gls
I would glad to clarify your query. For getting eligible for nimcet you need to have 60percent or 6.5 cgpa in your graduation with mathematics with one of your subject. Actually they convert your cgpa by multiplying cgpa*9.5 into percentage. So if in your marksheets has written 60percent then only your eligible otherwise for 6.06 cgpa you are not elgibile
Hello Aashish
I hope you are doing good. As per your query, I would like to tell you that for getting eligible for nimcet you should have 60percent in graudation and have mathematics as your subject for atleast one year . Nimcet eligibity is totally based on the marks scored in the graudation , its doesnt care about the subjects you have in 11th or 12th . If you have applied mathematics in your graudation then you are eligible for it
Hello Aspirant
I hope you are doing good . With reference to your query , I would like to inform you that for admission is mca college is purely based on nimcet rank and you just need 60percent to appear in nimcet. At your rank in general and obc category , chances are very low to get any nits because in 2020 seats in nit was fulled at 600-650 only . At this rank you can get University school of information studies if you have delhi state quota otherwise start preparing for next attempt
