I have secured 3158 rank in NIMCET will i get IPU ??

Nimisha Sharma 24th Aug, 2021

IPU Delhi is one of our great colleges in India and its cutoff is generally around 500-1000 for general category. While for NITs closing ranks is generally around 700. Considering this, your rank seem low and I recommend you to seek other colleges also.

Check out the link below to explore more colleges.

Good Luck !

till which rank in nimcet we will get hbtu kanpur

Nikita 5th Sep, 2021

Hello Student,

Admission to PhD programmes is based on UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET score. Candidates who do not have UGC-NET or CSIR-NET score can appear for a written examination conducted by the university. The selection will be based on an entrance test followed by an interview and document verification.

Only ranks till 800 get a chance to do HBTU at NITs. You can apply to HBTU Kanpur. It is also taking admissions through NIMCET.

Hi

You can start you nimcet preparation in the 3rd year/last year of graduation but it might be difficult to balance both your studies of nimcet preparation and graduation studies so to keep it light and easily manageable, you should start your preparation in 2nd year itself.

You can follow the below tips to prepare for your nimcet examination :-

---) know the syllabus and examination pattern:- be it nimcet or any other examination before starting your preparation you should know its syllabus and examination pattern so that you can  prepare accordingly.

Syllabus :- https://it.careers360.com/articles/nimcet-syllabus

Examination pattern:- Your exam has 4 section i. e Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, General English and Computer Awareness. A total of 120 mcqs are there. Details of examination pattern at https://it.careers360.com/articles/nimcet-exam-pattern

---)Make a time table :- make a timetable and stick to it and make sure that it covers all the three aspects of preparation i. e studying /reading , practising questions and revision.

---) Use right set of books / study materials. Some of the top books for nimcet preparation are listed below:-

  • Excel With Objective Book For NIMCET by J B Dixit, Ruchi Sharma, Ashish Mangal

  • The Aptitude Test Workbook by Jim Barrett

  • Numerical Ability & Mathematical Aptitude by Dr. A.B. Rao
