I got 821 rank in nimcet 2021 general category. Can i get a seat in NIT, or in IPU main campus?

Md Qutubuddin Ansari 16th Sep, 2021

Hello,

I hope you are doing well, as you mentioned your rank in NIMCET 2021 is 821. It is quite difficult for you to get admission in NIT's since you also belong to General category. But still you can go for the counselling and try your luck. There are still many colleges which take admission on the basis of the entrance test conducted the college. You can appear in the exam and if you perform well there you can get admission surely.

I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.

Good Luck

i need to know what is very useful book for self preparation. because i am too confusing about books and portions . i need some advice who had already passed nimcet . i am studying trigonometry but there is no questions from the previous question paper . that is giving me fear of studying

Niranjana 4th Aug, 2021

Hello,

I am attaching some of the advices by the people who have cracked the exam.

First and foremost, you must strengthen your math fundamentals. You may use YouTube to aid you with this. You may look for topic-specific mathematical lectures . Then, once you've mastered the fundamentals of math, try your hand at some problems related to the themes.Recommended books are

  • RD sharma for Mathematics
  • R.S.Agarwal for Reasoning.
  • Arihant Complete study package for MCA

Then you may answer past years' JEE Main chapterwise solutions, which you can do by purchasing any book. After you've finished these books, you can use past years' NIMCET problems as a practise test by solving them in exam conditions. Then evaluate your strong and weak aspects and proceed with your preparation appropriately.

Hope it helped you

what is the Ranking system in nimcet exam

Bhavesh gupta 29th Jul, 2021

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you as there are four sections in N.I.M.C.E.T namely Mathematics, Reasoning, English, Computer and all sections have different weightage. In N.I.M.C.E.T mathematics have highest weightage that is 600 marks then it is reasoning 240 marks then 80 marks of both english and computer. You should try to achieve high in mathematics. Ranking generally depends upon the marks if one scores high scores he/she gets good rank but you need to score atleast one marks in maths otherwise your paper will not be evaluated.

Hope you found this answer useful.Stay motivated stay positive.
