About DU MCA Entrance Exam 2019

DU MCA entrance Exam consists of 50 objective type questions which is to be completed in 2 hours. DU MCA exam is divided into four categories- English, Mathematics, Computer Science and Logical Ability. The final admission to the DU MCA course is done on the basis of entrance exam and interview. 85% weightage is given to entrance exam while 15% weightage is given to interview. The MCA programme is of 3 years divided into six semesters. The last semester of DU MCA course is fully dedicated to a professional training project in the industry. The course curriculum of MCA programme is designed in such a way that it gives student in-depth knowledge of mastering the various discipline of Computer Science and IT industry.

DU MCA Entrance Exam 2019 Eligibility Criteria

DU MCA  2019 eligibility criteria includes the minimum percentage of marks which the candidates need to score to be eligible to appear in the entrance test. The eligibility criteria of DU MCA 2019 also mentions the stream in which the candidates should have done their graduation and the subjects that they need to have. 

Examination Passed - According to DU MCA eligibility criteria 2019, candidates need to have a graduation degree from Delhi University or any other university whose exams is accorded recognition as equivalent to that of University of Delhi. 

Candidates are required to have at least one paper in Mathematical Sciences (operational research, statistics, mathematics, computer science) under annual mode. 

Candidates need to have minimum two papers in Mathematical Sciences (Computer Science, Statistics, Operational Research, Mathematics) in semester mode or equivalent degree. 

Minimum Percentage of Marks required at the undergraduate level 

DU MCA eligibility criteria 2019 mentions that the candidate must have at least 60%  marks in aggregate. 

Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to appear in DU MCA entrance test. All the candidates who belong to the reserved category, they will get certain relaxation as per the rules and regulations laid down by Delhi University.

DU MCA Entrance Exam 2019 Selection Process

The selection process of DU MCA  2019 comprises of interview and group discussion. According to DU MCA selection process 2019, there are two stages.

  • First stage is the DU MCA entrance exam

  • Second stage is group discussion and interview

At the time of preparation of final merit list, 85% weightage will be given to the score of the candidates.

Fifteen percent weightage will be given to the interview.
