Will NIMCET 2020 be postponed due to Coronavirus outbreak?
Coronavirus i.e. COVID-19 has hit the world badly and the number of positive cases are increasing rapidly. India is also affected by this massive outbreak of the virus and the number of affected persons is increasing day by day. The government is trying its best to control the situation and has imposed complete lock down in the country till April 14. Because of this, we have received various queries on Quora, Facebook and other platforms that will NIMCET 2020 be postponed or rescheduled?
NIMCET which is an offline entrance exam for admission in MCA programme offered by top ten NITs is scheduled to be held on May 31. Now, the major query that the candidates have is whether the exam will be held on time or not? Considering the increase in the number of cases, the exam may be postponed. However, to know about the status of the exam, the Careers360 team have tried to contact the authorities. As of now, the authorities have not provided any information regarding the cancellation or rescheduling of NIMCET 2020. So, it can be assumed that the exam will be conducted as per the previous schedule.
As per the announced schedule, candidates can fill the NIMCET 2020 application form till April 21 (extended). The application process was started on March 6. NIMCET 2020 admit card will be released on May 18 and the NIMCET result will be declared on June 14. The counselling process of NIMCET 2020 will commence from June 15.

As the minimum requirement of CGPA is 6.5, I have a CGPA of 6.46 from Mumbai unversity, so rounding off my CGPA becomes 6.5, so am I eligible for appearing NIMCET?

the basic eligibility criteria to get admission for the course M.C.A is candidate must hold a bachelors degree in computer application (BCA) or in any relevant field with mathematics as compulsory subject in class 12th and candidate must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks in their graduation. so after completing you may be eligible

- The first step for preparation of NIMCET Test to get familiar with exam pattern.
- Collect study material for NIMCET start preparing by yourself.
- practice while checking with time this while help you to manage time.
- start taking mocks test as soon a topic completed.
- start taking previous year question paper it help to get more familiar with exam.
- general English it a section that is always scoring if you pay little attention.
- The computer awareness section includes questions based on computer basics and data representation. this is one of the easiest section.

I am a b.com computer applications graduate , Can I eligible for NIMCET or not ? can I prepare for NIMCET?
The education qualification required to be eligible for NIMCET is that a candidate must have passed 3 year BCA or BIT or B.Sc or B.Sc(Hons) with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized board or must have passed 4 year B.E/B.tech from a recognized board. Candidate who are in final year are also eligible.
You are not eligible because you have not studied any of the above mentioned course.

Admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme across the NITs located in Agartala, Allahabad, Kurukshetra, Calicut, Raipur, Warangal, Surathkal, Durgapur, Trichy, Jamshedpur, Bhopal and Kurukshetra is done on the basis of NIMCET merit list. NIMCET 2020 will be conducted by National Institutes of Technology Raipur.
As per the eligibility criteria for NIMCET 2020 any graduate completed B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum three years duration, full-time from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects (candidates from open universities are also eligible) or B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University is eligible.
