NIMCET 2015 is the common entrance test conducted by one of the 11 participating National Institute of Technologies (NITs) for admissions to various postgraduate computer application programmes being offered in the participating colleges. NIMCET 2015 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates applying for NIMCET 2015 need to check their eligibility criteria before applying for the postgraduate entrance exam. Candidates belonging to India need to secure at least 60% of the total marks in aggregate of all subjects in the qualifying examination.
NIMCET 2015 Application Procedure: Candidates applying for NIMCET 2015 need to apply online from February 16, 2015. They need to apply and submit the duly-filled in online application form till April 6, 2015. Candidates belonging to General and OBC categories applying for NIMCET 2015 will need to remit an application fee of Rs. 1800 only, while those belonging to the reserved categories, including SC/ST/PwD need to remit an application fee of Rs. 900 only, in an online mode via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. Afterwards, they need to take a print out of the duly filled in online application.
Candidates need to dispatch the filled in online application print out after signing it at the designated places along with the payment receipt to the below mentioned address before the last date of receiving applications, i.e. April 20, 2015.

NIMCET 2015 Admit Card: Candidates will be able to download NIMCET 2015 Admit Card from May 8, 2015. NIT shall not be sending any admit card to the registered candidates for NIMCET 2015. No candidate shall be allowed to appear for NIMCET 2015 without a valid NIMCET 2015 Admit Card.
NIMCET 2015 Exam Pattern: NIMCETis scheduled to be held on May 31, 2015 in offline mode for two hours duration. NIMCET 2015 Paper shall comprise 120 objective-type questions (MCQs) from various sections, including Mathematics, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English. Every correct answer shall be awarded with four marks. There shall be a system of negative marking for every wrong answer, under which one mark shall be deducted for every wrong answer. The offline post graduate MCA entrance exam shall be conducted in around 21 cities across India.
NIMCET selection process: The admissions to MCA programmes in participating NITs will be made on the basis of marks obtained in NIMCET2015 Score and Rank.

Candidate must possess B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Hons) /BCA/ BIT degree from a recognized university with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects. OR Candidates having B.E/ B. Tech degree from a recognized university are also eligible to apply for NIMCET 2020.
Brief about the Exam Pattern
Each correct response will be awarded 4 marks.
1 mark will be deducted for each wrong response.
No marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.
Also, responding a question with more than one options will be considered wrong, and marks will be deducted for that.

NIMCET 2020 Preparation Strategy-
The first step to the preparation of NIMCET is to get familiar with the exam pattern.
Next is to collect all the relevant study material for NIMCET. You can join a coaching center if you cannot start preparing by yourself.
Start with learning the basic concepts of each subject asked in the exam. NIMCET syllabus includes up to Class XII level Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, Computer, and English.
Practice while checking the time and this will help in managing the time while exam. Also, practice not to use a calculator while doing Mathematics and calculation-based questions.
Read and revise each topic properly and this will help in assessing strong and weak areas. Once you know about your strong and weak areas, start strengthening your weak areas first.
Start taking mocks tests as soon you complete your syllabus. Mock tests and previous years’ questions papers are very important to make you familiar with exam pattern.
Practice more to gain more. Mock tests could be of great help. You should take minimum 1 to 3 mock tests in a week. Also, analyze each mock test you take.
Just ahead if exam, do not prepare for any new topic. Only work on strengthening the ones you are weak at and revising the strong ones as well.
To be eligible to appear in NIMCET a candidate must have passed B.Sc/BCA/BIT/B.Sc (Hons) or B.E/B.tech.
Candidates belonging to General category must have atleast 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale.For SC/ST candidates it is 55% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale.
You are not eligible to appear in NIMCET as you have not fulfilled the minimum percentage requirement.
No, you are not eligible as the eligibility criteria says that a candidate must have passed 3 year bachelor's degree in B.Sc/B.Sc(hons)/BCA/BIT with mathematics/statistics or bachelor's in engineering from a recognised board or university.

NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET), is the national level entrance exam conducted every year by one of the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) for taking admissions on merit basis to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme.
