NIMCET 2014 Eligibility Criteria:  National level computer application entrance examination NIMCET 2014 will be conducted on May 25, 2014 by the NIT Warangal. NIMCET 2014 is a qualifying examination for admission of students on basis of his/her merit to Masters of Computer Application (MCA) programme at any one of the participating NITs.

Eligibility Criteria for NIMCET 2014

  • Candidate should have Indian nationality.

  • Candidate should have secured 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) on a 10 point scale  in either of the following three-years full time course :

    1. BSc/BSc (Hons)

    2. BCA

    3. BIT

  • Candidate, who have passed or are in the last year of the mentioned courses: BSc / BSc(Hons)/BCA/ BIT from  Open Universities shall also be eligible. Under this eligibility criterion the pursued course should be approved by the UGC / AICTE and Distance Education Council (DEC) of Government of India.

  • If the second eligibility criterion is not met, then in such case, candidate, who have secured a B E / B Tech or equivalent degree from a recognized University are eligible to appear for NIMCET-2014 test.

  • Candidate, who will be appearing in the last year of any of the above mentioned courses, are also allowed to apply for NIMCET 2014.

Note:  Candidates, who are appearing for final year/semester of any of the above mentioned three year course, will be required to present “proforma of certificate” , a certificate which is issued by head of the institution, at the time of counseling.

Actually i am from ahmedabad i am studying in bca and want to appear for nimcet but there are no coaching institutes for nimcet in ahmedabad so how can i appear for nimcet????????????

hello aspirant,

you can prepare the nimcet examination by self study . its not necessary to have coaching classes to get better result in entrance exam. you can check tcyonline website as there is many lectures available for nimcet exam.

also you can follow aspire study channels.

HELLO ASPIRANT,

SORRY to say you are not eligible to apply in nimcet 2020. the basic eligibility criteria is   Candidates must have studied B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT/ B.E/ B.Tech of minimum three years full-time from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects.

They must have minimum 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scales (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST).

I am pursuing my B.Sc in Medical Lab Technology. Am I eligible for NIMCET.

Dear Awadesh, NIMCET is an entrance examination for admission to MCA course. It is a Computer Applications course. But B.Sc Lab Technology is a Para Medical Course which means both of their reaches are different. Now coming to the eligibility, the regulations state that a Candidate should have studied Mathematics/Statistics as a part of their curriculum to be eligible for NIMCET. Now B.Sc Lab Technology doesb't have either of these subjects and so unfortunately you are not eligible for NIMCET.

Hello student as per source I'm sorry to inform you but BA students are not eligible as eligibility criteria says Minimum educational qualification

B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum three years full-time from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects (candidates from open universities are also eligible)
OR
B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University.
