Karnataka PGCET MCA 2014: Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2014 is state level MCA entrance exam conducted by the Rani Channamma University on behalf of Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The entrance exam will be conducted in paper-pencil test format on June 30, 2014.  Qualified candidates will be offered admissions for full time Masters of Computer Application courses as per their merit, institute preferred by candidate, and availability of seats at University Departments, University Post Graduate Centers, Government aided and private institutes located within the Karnataka State.

Karnataka PGCET MCA 2014 Eligibility: Candidates must have passed graduation with a minimum of 50% with aggregate marks. And should have pursued any of the following listed subjects-Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Applications/Computer Programming/Business Mathematics/Business Statistics. For candidates belonging from SC/ST/Cat-I categories, the minimum required percentage of marks is 45%.

 

 

Karnataka PGCET MCA 2014 Application Form: will be available in online mode only from June 7, 2014 to June 24, 2014. For candidates belonging from General Merit and SC/ST and Cat-I category the application form fee is Rs 800 and Rs 400 respectively.  Print out of the completed PGCET MCA 2014 Application Form has to be dispatched through registered/speed post or can be submitted in person to the below given address along with all required documents on or before June 24, 2014.

 

Karnataka PGCET MCA 2014 Paper Pattern: the question paper will contain 80objective type questions and the time duration of exam is 120 minutes. Negative Marking for wrong answers is not applicable. The paper will be divided into two sections- Part A will contain 60 questions of

 

one mark each and Part B will contain 20 questions of two marks each.

i have a cgpa of 5.6 in engg (vtu). will i be eligible to take up pgcet through the general merit category?

hi,

see karnataka pgcet exam is for admission in mba, mca or m.e /m.tech courses. the eligibility criteria for all course is you need to have 50% marks in your graduation course in relevant discipline. now you need to convert you cgpa to percentage using the conversion rules of your university and apply for  pgcet.

Ramu, yes you can appear for Karnataka PGCET though you are from AP. But yes, you will not be considered for Karnataka reservation policy reserved for its Candidates. While 90% of the seats are reserved for Karnataka domicile Candidates, 10% of the seats are reserved for Non Karnataka domicile Candidates. Now, the official notification for 2020 will be released tentatively during the month of May 2020. Karnataka PGCET registration will be started on May 19, 2020. Exam will be on 20-21 July 2020.
